Arts Away
Yesterday we went to see A Bag Full of Stories at Whippingham community hall. It’s as part of the Arts Away scheme that brings theatre groups to rural communities. The group we saw was Open Box Theatre Company. They told stories from a variety of places from Norway to China and Scotland to Ireland. The picture opposite shows Rebekah attempting a Leprechaun dance because the Leprechaun was happy that he didn’t have to give away his gold.
The show was followed by Sue and Sam’s lovely soup. There was a workshop after that where we made puppets. Unfortunately Rebekah had to go to drama but she was buoyed up by the exciting news that she is going skiing with her Aunt in a few months.
So here are the puppets that Ruth and Jonathan made. Jonathan’s is a monster and Ruth’s is a parrot, but we think it looks more like the Rolypoly bird from The Twits.

“attempting” the dance..Pah I think I did the dance very nicely thank you very much…
