YAY! Go Rebekah! Very eloquently put! I took my two little boys with me today to A) get my haircut, and B) to give blood and several people asked if Alex (5) was enjoying his holidays/looking forward to going back to school. When he said he was home-educated, they asked questions about it so we were able to say that for us, living our LIVES is our education, including experiences like Mummy going to give blood & getting her hair cut!

Well done and thanks for being a visible face of home-ed! The more of us who stand up to be counted, the more people will see we are NOT anomalies and our children are NOT hidden away!

This school Teacher of 17 years reckons Rebekah has made her point very well.
Choice is a good thing...why shouldn't people be allowed to educate their own children? It's a difficult path, but respect to those that take it, both the parents and the children, who's powers of poetry in this case must be up there at level 7 or thereabouts.
