Games and Taxes
Last Sunday we were playing Articulate and trying to work out how to make it fair – given that Martin and I are somewhat older than some of the others playing the game. We took Jonathan which slowed up our progress a little and then suggested that the girls should be able to skip more of the People cards than is normally allowed, to make up for the fact that they have just heard of less of them. Rebekah was most disgruntled by this and said that it wouldn’t be fair (she wants to win but she wants to win fair and square). So there then followed a lengthy discussion about taxes and what makes taxes fair and unfair and different systems and how all systems will be unfair to some people.
So that would be more autonomous education then and Ruth learned where the lake district was too.
